A few weeks ago, I posted in a Parting Words From The WORD that I had several friends who, without a miracle from the Lord, will soon be facing eternity.
One of those dear friends left this world Tuesday morning and is now with Jesus.
Buck was a man who, at his death, loved Jesus more than life itself, but that wasn’t always the case. In his younger years, Buck was a hard-drinking, hard-living man. He was tough, he was strong, and he was proud of it! And he certainly didn’t need Jesus.
But one night God allowed Buck a line-in-the-sand moment, and in an instance, he was a new creation. He walked away from the old life and began his new one. He went to church, studied God’s Word, and applied its principles to his life. He lived, breathed, and ate the Christian life.
And when the end came, he was ready for the party.
Yes, Buck leaves behind a wife, family, and friends who love and miss him. But heaven is celebrating his graduation.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15 (KJV)
I pray God’s blessing on the work of your hands and your hearts,
Vonda
