These Christian Writer’s Den Writers are Making a Splash!
1. Marilyn Turk: I was notified last week that another of my stories has been accepted by Chicken Soup for the Soul. This will be the third Chicken Soup book I’m in! This one is called “Say Hello to a Healthy Body,” coming out in May. All you writers who want publishing credits, this is a great way to get them! (Vonda here–And just for the record, Marilyn said she first read about this opportunity here on CWD!)
2. Beth Fortune (SC): My story “Row Strong, Live Long” was selected in the final round for the upcoming book “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Say Hello to a Better Body!” to be in the bookstores May 2012.
3. Ellen Andersen (SC): I had devotions published by Christian Devotions on January 12th and
February 1st.
4. Tracy Crump (MS): My article, “Beware TMI,” appears in the Canadian publication Fellowscript. I’ve also been asked again to present a workshop at the Southeast Christian Writers Conference in October.

La-Tan Murphy to Lead Worship at the Christian Communicators Conference at The Cove!
I’m thrilled to announce that for the first time, we’ll have an official worship leader at the Christian Communicators Conference.
La-Tan Roland Murphy is a speaker, freelance writer, and worship leader with a heart for encouraging others. She has been leading worship through music and God’s Word since the Lord put the call in her heart in 1996.
La-Tan finds great joy in using her life stories as a way to open worship. Whether she’s speaking, leading worship, or both, her approach is challenging and inspiring. Her boldness and vulnerability in sharing her heart for Jesus through song and message create a refreshing invitation that makes you feel as though you have known her all of your life.
She says that nothing sets the stage for hearts to receive more of His glory, more of His power, more of His blessings as does offerings of praise and adoration to the Savior through worship.

La-Tan and her husband, Joe, have been married for 28 years and have three children and a granddaughter named Sparrow Ann Murphy (her favorite little bird to watch these days!).
