What are reviewers saying about Bitsy and the Mystery at Amelia Island?

"BITSY AND THE MYSTERY AT AMELIA ISLAND is an excellent amateur sleuth “ghost” story that targets the younger middle school student, who will enjoy the antics of courageous heroine who stands up to a bully, a witch, and a ghost. The storyline follows Bitsy’s escapades as she bravely takes on one antagonist after another. Young readers will enjoy her adventurous vacation on Amelia Island.

What are reviewers saying about Bitsy and the Mystery at Tybee Island?

"It's a good writer who can turn out an entertaining, positive book for children without being saccharine, and Vonda Skelton is very good. Bitsy is a character who demands a sequel."
Writer Advice, Ellen Kennedy

"Bitsy and the Mystery at Tybee Island is a delightful story with a charming young lady who is a normal child in all respects. She also learns some very valuable lessons along with solving a very real crime. This is the kind of book I loved as a child. I’m sure kids everywhere will be looking forward to reading more stories about Bitsy Burroughs."
Myshelf.com, Jo Rogers

"Vonda Skelton's first young adult novel is a pleasant concoction of mystery, history, and childhood innocence. Bitsy is a well-drawn character, a bit of a tomboy whose appeal lies both in her gutsy approach to life and her naiveté concerning adults. Youngsters should enjoy reading of her adventures on the tiny Tybee Island."
Reviewingtheevidence.com, Mary V. Welk

"Bitsy is an engaging heroine who is smart, but headstrong. It is highly entertaining book with an uplifting message. It is refreshing to see a story with a strong family focus. This is the first in a series that deserve to become classics."
Murder and Mayhem Book Club, Roberta Austin

"Thankfully, we have a new generation of children's mystery authors like Vonda Skelton who can bring the enjoyment of mysteries to a new generation of children."

Amazon.com review, David Taggart

"This humorous, hair-raising tale holds the reader’s interest while capably displaying the results of disobedient, thoughtless action, Christian repentance, family values, problem solving, and judging the character of others. Skelton ably and candidly portrays believable characters. Both children and adults make mistakes and amends."
Christian Book Previews, Donna Eggett

"Vonda Skinner Skelton's story is packed with action that never stops and the laughs.....Oh the laughs!!!"
