Parting Words From The WORD . . . Lord, I Need You

Illness . . . violence . . . death . . . demands . . . Sometimes it seems more than we can bear. And, without Him, it very well could be. But we don’t have to face these hardships alone.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

Yes, He cares for all of us, but we can only access His peace and strength when we know Him as Lord and Savior. He is available to us, but are we allowing Him to work through our trials and weaknesses?

As we continue this difficult road with my mother, I’ve found Christian music to be the best way for me to prepare for worship and searching His heart through His Word. This song ministered to me this morning. I hope it ministers to you as well as you listen to the words, take them into your heart, and sing them to Jesus.

Oh, how I need Him!

Grace and Peace be yours in abundance.

What a true and beautiful scripture and song. In the months since our daughter’s death, I’ve fallen on Him daily. He is my hope and stay.

    What a blessed Savior.

    • Yes, He is. Our hope, our stay, our blessed Savior. Beautifully written, Gwyn!

  • Words of blessing from a blessed sister. Thank you, Vonda. We need always to be reminded of God’s love and care for us. Praying for you and your entire family, precious daughter of the King.

    • Thank you, sweet Judith. Praise God He’s there when we need Him…and when we forget that we do…

Vonda, This reminds me that if I forget my need of Him, I have nothing to write
but opinion and observations through my self filter. As your sister in
Christ, I encourage you today that writing is, for us, a primary form of
worship through which the Lord often ministers salve to our souls. May you
find rest today as you empty yourself before Him and let Him fill you.
And I pray that for us all!

    • Yes, I’m realizing how often I let my mind stray off Him and His love and power and listen to the lies of the evil one. So now, when those thoughts sneak into my mind, I remind him that through the Name of Jesus, he has no power and is not welcome here! It’s amazing how much better I feel when I take my mind captive, just as His word tell us to!

I’ll be praying about your situation with mom & your family, Vonda. Please know you’re lifted.

    • Thank you so much, Cyn. Your prayers are always healing and full of promise and I need them! Thank you! Praying now that your week is off to a good start!
