  • This is my first time doing MoGoo, but I decided to focus on a certain word count each day this year to overcome the excuses and distractions I use to put off writing. Even having to take a break due to pneumonia, I was able to write 32,765 on my book project.

    • Awesome, Diana! I’m so proud of your commitment and determination. 32,765 words? You go, girl!

  • Susan M. Baganz

I wasn’t intending to start a new story in January but one begged to be written 14,703 words into it. It’s like my characters hold me hostage until I start writing.

    • Hahahaha! Yes, I know what you mean. My current WIP has been tugging at my head and heart since 2009. I’m planning to make some progress this year!

  • I was able to get rid of another unnecessary hindrance (gall bladder – 🙂 ) to writing in early January. I spent much of the rest of the month experimenting with writing assignments for contests. I look forward to critiques, whether or not I win other recognition. For February and March, I hope to devote more time to a nonfiction story I’ve been researching… I appreciate your updates… By the way, the teacups I spotted on an earlier post certainly remind me of my mother’s collection. Thank you for sharing.

    • Blessings on every hour of your pre-work, Margery. I’m praying it’ll be returned to you pressed down, shaken together, and running over!

  • Whoa, Tim Suddeth! That’s awesome! Thanks for the opportunity to share our successes. 🙂 And congrats Bonita!

  • Hello Vonda. My total for January was 20,248. Have a great week.

    • Woo-hoo, Tim! Glad to see you’re working on another book!

  • Amanda Everett

This is my first year doing MoGo and I’m so excited to participate! I’m working on my first novel and wrote 7,466 new words this past month 🙂

    • Judith Robl

      Congratulations, Amanda. Way to go!!

      • You’re such an encourager, Judith. Thank you for your heart for others. 🙂

    • Awesome, Amanda! I’m thrilled to hear that you’re working on your first book and happy for your first entry into the drawing for $100 next January! Way to go! Thanks for letting us know. 🙂
