Wish you could see your name in the monthly kudos? Wondering how you can take this love of words and build a career…or at least a little mad money? Well, here are 12 places who are looking for writers and contest entries!

Remember to follow the guidelines to the letter. That will raise your chances for finding favor with an editor. But just remember, nothing helps you get a “job” better than great writing!

1.  Operation First Novel: Do you have what it takes to be the new voice in Christian fiction? Jerry B. Jenkins’ Christian Writers Guild contest is open. But you must hurry, membership deadline is August 29 and contest deadline is September 3.
