When, according to God’s will, David passed the responsibility of building the temple on to his son, Solomon, he prepared for the work ahead by gathering the right people. He lined up those who were gifted in every type of work. Skilled craftsmen, he called them. This was part of his charge to King Solomon:
“…You have many workers: stonecutters, masons and carpenters, as well as those skilled in every kind of work in gold and silver, bronze and iron—craftsmen beyond number. Now begin the work, and the LORD be with you.” I Chronicles 22:15-16
As writers, we are each gifted in different areas. And yet, we’re all skilled craftsmen, called to create what He has planned for us to create. We’re craftsmen beyond number.
“Now, begin the work, and the LORD be with you…”
I pray God’s blessing on the work of your hands and your hearts,
