Welcome to Thursday’s Writer’s Headlines!
I hope you’ve had a great week. Can’t wait to share lots of great news this week!
~Kudos to These Christian Writer’s Den Readers~
1. Jo Ann Fore (TN): I have a feature coming out in Guideposts March 2012. It’s actually a story about friendships; and how friends can be an integral part of breaking free of unhealthy situations. The story is about a friend (my best friend now) who reached out to me in the midst of an abusive marriage. The best news: It’s really cool because Guideposts usually doesn’t focus on tough topics like this one. Excited about what God is doing 🙂 (My apologies to Jo Ann for not listing this last month. I don’t know how I missed it! I’m sorry, Jo Ann!)
2. Judy Parker (AK): I signed a contact with Lifeway for an article to be published in September 2012. (And my apologies to Judy. Somehow I missed her, too! I’m sorry, Judy!)
3. Cynthia Lovely (NY): Cynthia had her first official speaking event in November and was able to sell her new Chicken Soup book as well. And, she hopes to attend the next Christian Communicators Conference!
4. Jeanne Doyon (CT): My article, God Hears Mothers’ Long Distance Prayers is published at The Open Word. And this same story appears in Fighting Fear, Winning the War at Home When Your Soldier Leaves for Battle by Edie Melson. Also, I am speaking December 10, 2011 at Grace Family Church in Waterboro Maine for their Women’s Christmas Tea.
5. Marcia Gaddis (GA): I wanted to let you know that I have been accepted/invited to be a
contributing author for the website Open to Hope, a site for anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one. I am honored to be represented on their site.
Congratulations, writers! What a joy it is to see what God is doing in your lives. Keep up the good work!
And don’t forget to check back next week for a new list of writing opportunities, collecting just for you. 🙂
We have another list to celebrate today. These writers wrote at least 7000 new words in the month of November and now have another entry into the drawing for $100 cash!
1. Ellen Andersen – 15,260 words
2. Eddie Snipes – 20,964 words
3. Cindy Patterson – 7,150 words
Congrats to these hardworking writers!
Only one more month to go, but there’s plenty of month left, so get started and you could be in the drawing on January 12, 2011! Want to know more? Check out the MoGo7000 Challenge.
~BOGO Sale Going on Now in the Store!~
Do you have women or kids or writers on your Christmas list? If so, let me help you with your Christmas shopping and save you money at the same time!
Until the end of the month I’m celebrating the launch of my new website by offering a BOGO sale in my Store. All you have to do is place your original order (without the free items). Once that order goes through, simply email me with your desired free items of equal or lesser value–including the downloadable Writer’s Workshops! I’m sorry, but jewelry and jeweled bookmarks are not included in the free items. But don’t delay, Christmas will be here soon!
I think that does it for this week’s headlines. Thanks for catching up!
